If I could give half a star, I would. That half a star would belong solely to the wonderful male vet tech, Austin, that I have seen. He's phenomenal. However, I'm left wanting for everything else here now. I have taken all my fur babies to MAH for 20 years. They used to be fast, affordable and give quality care. If I had an emergency they never made me wait and if I didn't have the money right then, they would still treat my animals and bill me later, which I ALWAYS paid within 30 days without fail. About 8 months ago my cat had an emergency and I was told bluntly that if I didn't have the money or carecredit my cat would not be seen. Needless to say, my cat wasn't seen and I nursed him back to health myself, thank God. Now my cat has some type of respiratory issue. He has pus and blood streaming from his nose. Of course I'm alarmed and this is serious. My daughter took him while I'm at work today (I now have care credit) and it was almost their lunch break so they told her to bring him back in an hour!!!!!! Are you kidding me???????? My cat is bleeding out his nose, obviously ill and their lunch break is more important? My daughter loaded him back in the car and the stress from all that caused him to have diarrhea in his carrier. So then she had to go home, clean him, clean her car and the carrier and then re-load him and take him back. This is COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE!!! I work in healthcare and we would NEVER turn away a patient in obvious need to go eat! The prices are higher, the legitimate care and concern is down, no common sense used for accounts (it's easy to see who pays quickly and who doesn't. Blanket policies like that, especially in emergency situations is ridiculous). I wish we could have the old building and old Doctors back. I love Dr. Smith, but there's no guarantee I'll see her and the rest of the issues overshadow that anyway. I will be changing vets after today. I've heard Troutman is great and affordable. I wouldn't bring my pet ant here!!!!!! I'm very, very dissatisfied! The new owner seems to only care for money and status and growing her chain of clinics. I am beyond livid. Done. UPDATE: While my cat suffers as I try to come up with the lump sum of $1000+ to get my cat sedated, tooth cleaning and extractions, he's still oozing pus from his nose. I have been given no explanation as to how that happens or why he's snorting to breath. Nothing is ever explained and if you ask you're treated like an idiot. Anyway, I called on a Friday to ask for an antibiotic to help ease his dental abscess until I could gather the money for surgery. The receptionist said she would call back, she never did. I called Saturday and asked again. Again, no reply. Saturday night I left a message letting them know that their lack of concern is highly unethical and this behavior was completely inexcusable. I finally got a call back on Sunday right before they closed telling me Dr. Cloninger had finally approved the prescription. This is not ok. I can't help feeling that this clinic is all about one thing; money. I found a new veterinary clinic that is wonderfully caring, sees your sick pets immediately, the vets actually come in the room for the majority of the visit, not just for the last 3 minutes, they are AFFORDABLE like MAH used to be and they don't talk down to you. The vet at the new clinic even talked to me about cat litter and my pregnancy. They truly care. And best of all, my cat gets his sedation, pre-surgery blood work, tooth cleaning and all his extractions for less than $250. I'll never go anywhere else again. Spay/Neuter Clinic is where it's at. For routine care I can stay right here in Mooresville, for kitty dental care I just drive to Charlotte. My kitties and me deserve ethical, caring veterinary care.
