  The PA was great, however the rest of staff was completely incompetent. They hid the fact that the practice is associated with Lake Norman Regional Hospital which is one of the worst hospitals in the country. The nurse was incredibly rude and made so many mistakes. She repeatedly sent the wrong scripts, wrong quantities, wrong doses to the wrong pharmacies. The nurse wanted me to come for an appointment every six weeks for a script that I have been taking for over seven years. Their wanting me to come so often had nothing to do with my health, its all about the money: co-pays and billing my insurance. I was never allowed to talk with the PA for a quick question, always I had to come in and pay a co-pay, even for a blood-pressure reading or check up, which is against the Affordable Care Act. The staff was so incompetent that three different people came up with three radically different blood pressure readings. When I first was a patient here, the waiting room was full. When I left the practice, there were no patients waiting, which says a lot. I found a brilliant GP associated with one the best regional hospitals. She is friendly and the nurses and staff are friendly and professional, I get greeted by name. Stay away from any practice associated with LKN Regional. And the staff should loose their licenses for sheer ignorance and ill manners.

  Dr. Albrecht is one of those doctors who went into healthcare for the science of it. Highly intelligent, very little empathy. I made a request for a single dose of a sedative to try to mitigate the extreme anxiety I have with needles. I was refused with the comment that I would be just fine (after one visit in their office and no experience with the panic attacks that I experience with having labs drawn). Will definitely be requesting my records and finding a new doctor.
